Review: The Grace of God

The Grace of GodThe Grace of God by Andy Stanley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Well-written and meticulously edited, “The Grace of God” by Andy Stanley is a great read on understanding the awesome power of God’s amazing grace. It stands as a true testament to the grace that God demonstrates to us everyday…as we go through our everyday lives doing our everyday things. Mr. Stanley points out to his readers that God is so gracious and merciful that he spares us even when we don’t deserve it…all by his amazing grace. Moreover, through popular characters and situations in the bible, he transcends the reader to higher heights illustrating ways in which God grants his grace time and time again…though his grantees do not deserve it. He also leads the reader step-by-step through biblical stories that were commonplace, but, after reading his book, have a completely different and higher meaning.

In addition, Andy Stanley does a fantastic job of categorizing God’s grace chapter by chapter forming a path for the reader…one that they can follow to a greater understanding of God’s grace. Of why it’s so important, and of why we need it so much…I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who wants a deeper understanding of God’s amazing grace because, after all, it’s because of God’s amazing grace that we’re all still here.

I give it 5 stars.
